We take these actions as a precaution against the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This decision was made in order to limit potential exposure to the Coronavirus and to best protect the health and well-being of all individuals, our players, their families and our Community.

A message from the Empire United Soccer Academy Board of Directors

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Empire United Soccer Academy Board of Directors we wanted you to be aware that we are monitoring the status of the Coronavirus outbreak so that we can assess its potential impact on our club. Our top priority is the health and wellness of our players and their families.

We are monitoring developments in all areas where we have teams travelling. We will be using our Website as well as email to communicate updates on a regular basis. In addition, we are monitoring the CDC and Monroe County and Erie County Health Departments websites/position as well as that of US Soccer, USYSA and NYS West.

While we recognize that we are not the authority on this subject we do take the health and wellness of our players and their families seriously. With that said, we are closely monitoring teams travel commitments and making situational decisions. We also recognize that each family needs to make their own decision as to whether they can commit to travel to tournaments and league games given the circumstances. We would ask that you have clear communication with your team’s coach and manager with respect to your intent to travel to any upcoming event.

It is not likely that any tournaments will offer refunds to its participants unless they cancel the tournament in its entirety, so refunds for Registration fees are not expected, but we will pursue them and where we are successful you will be credited back that cost. Should you decide to not participate in a team event we cannot offer tuition adjustments for the Competition Cost portion of your commitment as these costs are not variable based on the number of participants.

We will continue to use the CDC as our main source of information and our guide concerning all future decisions. We will provide further communications if needed as new information becomes available.

Everyday preventive actions should be taken, including:

· Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

· If soap and water are not readily available,

· Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

· Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

· Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

·  Stay home when you are sick.

· Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

· Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a household cleaning spray or wipe.

· Follow the CDC's recommendations for using a facemask.

o CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including Coronavirus.

o  Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms to help prevent the spread of the disease.

We have also initiated additional cleaning procedures at the Johns Street facility.
