Welcome to Empire United Field Hockey!

Empire United Field Hockey

Empire United Field Hockey is a great choice for Rochester-area field hockey athletes who are looking for an organized, professionally-run field hockey club experience during the off-season.

We offer a variety of field hockey programs, including winter and summer leagues and travel teams.

Our club season runs from January through June for most age groups, and offers twice weekly practices and scrimmages to sharpen your skills and develop your game, along with local, regional and national tournaments and showcases for those who are interested in pursuing collegiate playing opportunities.

We also cater to athletes who wish to travel to compete in showcases and tournaments that will expose them to collegiate coaches who are recruiting future athletes for their college teams.

Empire United is a not-for-profit (501c3) organization.  All player tuition covers actual costs to run the program with a net zero revenue each year. Financial assistance is available for families with demonstrated need. Our professional coaching and operations staff are hired for their technical and administrative expertise and are required to complete NYS risk management and background checks.  Each of our coaches holds or pursues USA Field Hockey's Level I and II coaching licenses.

Empire United Takes Next Step in Strategic Alliance as Rochester New York FC (RNYFC) Youth

Empire United Field Hockey and Empire United Soccer Take Next Step in Strategic Alliance as Rochester New York Field Hockey Club (RNY FHC)

Empire United Field Hockey & Soccer will rebrand as RNY FHC beginning in the 2022-2023 season.

Rochester, New York (June 22, 2022) – Empire United Soccer & Field Hockey will continue its historic partnership with Rochester New York Football Club (RNYFC) by re-branding our Rochester based soccer and field hockey teams and programming beginning in the summer of 2022.

EMPIRE UNITED FIELD HOCKEY WILL NOW BE KNOWN AS ROCHESTER NEW YORK FIELD HOCKEY CLUB:

The move will result in our field hockey teams wearing the new RNYFC professional team colors (white, black & green) AND taking on a new name – Rochester New York Field Hockey Club (RNY FHC).

Our field hockey staff will continue to provide the same programming we always have but with a new name, logo and team colors. Our mission remains the same – to provide excellent instruction and guidance for field hockey athletes in the Rochester area.

We look forward to our new ‘look’ as we continue to provide travel teams at the regional and local level, summer and winter leagues for college players, high school players and adults, as well as specialized training for goalkeepers and field players.
