Welcome to the beginning. A new era for girl’s soccer in Rochester. A league for girls, coached and mentored by women.

All girls are welcome, with and without prior soccer experience.

We are reimagining what the soccer experience can be for our youngest players, and creating an inclusive, positive, fun, empowering environment full of great female role models.

We LOVE the Girls Believe! League!!! What’s next?

The year is broken into 4 blocks:

  • Fall – Girls Believe! League – Sept-Nov - U7 & U8 Girls
  • Fall II  – Training/Futsal block – Nov-Dec - U8 Girls
  • Winter – Girls Believe! League – Jan-March - U7 & U8 Girls
  • Spring/Summer – Girls Believe! League – May-June - U6, U7 & U8 Girls
    • RDYSL team/s to be formed for players ready for the challenge of playing in U9 Division

Why is your year programmed into blocks? What is your game to training ratio?

We deliberately schedule 8 week “blocks” of activity with several rest weeks between blocks. Players this age should be resting, participating in other activities, and taking breaks in order to stay excited about the sport! The game to practice ratio for the year is 2 to 1 (2 training session possibilities for every one game). This is “best practice” for U8 players.
